The Harrier Group's LeaseTerm product is an intelligent terminal emulation program designed to enhance Decision Systems Inc.'s
InfoLease character based user interface by giving users the ability to use standard
Microsoft Windows™ conventions to enter and edit the data presented on InfoLease screens.
Users can navigate between menus and data entry fields using mouse clicks,
rather than typing menu and field numbers.
Frequently used sub-menus and screens can be 'bookmarked', and can then be accessed quickly with a single mouse click.
The data in individual fields can be edited via Windows text edit boxes,
eliminating the need for retyping entire fields in order to change a single character.
Date values can be selected from pop-up calendar controls or entered directly.
While LeaseTerm provides significant productivity and ease of use enhancements for
users familiar with the Windows user interface standards, LeaseTerm does not
require users to use the Windows conventions.
Users who are not familiar with Windows, or who simply prefer the character
based interface, can continue to use LeaseTerm as they would any other terminal emulator.
LeaseTerm is not a development toolkit, and requires no programming or customization of any kind.
